Become an Online Student

Busy during the day?
Can't get away from home at night?
Try taking classes online from STC.

Here are the steps you need to make it happen:

1. Determine if taking classes online is right for you with the following assessment and checklist.

   READI Assessment

   New Online Student Preliminary Checklist

2. Select your program of study or course
3. Complete the STC Admissions process if you have not already
4. Complete your financial aid forms
5. Talk with an advisor and register for class
6. Log into Banner Web and update your personal information – You must add an email address.
   
   
   • Go to the following link: BannerWeb and Click "STC Banner Web"
     • Your user ID is your social security number or your student id.
     • Your password is your six digit birthday – unless you have changed it.
     • If you have problems logging in, contact Student Services at 478-553-2064 or jthigpen@sandersvilletech.edu
       
       
7. Expect an email – at the email address you put in Banner Web – with instructions on how to log into your online class, etc.
8. Contact your instructor on or before the first day of class.
   
   
   • Your instructor’s name and email will be in your email. Your instructor’s name will also be on your schedule. You can look up your instructor's email address anytime using the online Directory.
